The John Wayne Film Society would like to Invite all our members to It’s ‘Autumn 2011 Open Day’ which will be held on Saturday October 8th, 2011 at The Ashfield School, Sutton Road, Kirkby-In-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 8HP From 10.00 am until 3.00 pm - Admittance £1.00 per person, Children under 14 Free. Tickets can be purchased on the Door and will also be entered into the Raffle. If you plan to attend the Open Day, it would be appreciated if you could ring on 01623 553443 so that we can estimate the catering requirements Most of those who have previously attended our Conventions will obviously know the location of the School and the Canteen Facilities that we use for our Memorabilia Displays etc. At the Autumn 2011 Open Day we will have on display and for sale our stock of John Wayne Merchandise, (DVDs, Calendars, Books, CDs, Film Cells, Mugs, Original John Wayne Movie Posters, Lobby Cards, Videos ) For those who wish to attend who do not know the directions, they are as follows:- Directions to Ashfield School from the M1 Junction 28 Turn eastward on the A38 for Sutton-in-Ashfield and Mansfield.
Continue through three sets of traffic lights until the road narrows to a single carriageway.
At the next traffic lights turn right. The Ashfield Hotel is on the far left, and the Fire Station on the far right of this junction.
DO NOT take the first right turn into the school, the drive is one way.
Turn right just before the pelican crossing.
Turn right into the car park just before the boiler house. Directions to Ashfield School from the A38 from Mansfield Follow the A38 Sutton Bypass. Sign posted for M1 Motorway.
Follow this road to a cross roads with the B6018.
The Ashfield Hotel is on the right and the Fire station on the left.
Turn left for Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
DO NOT take the first right turn into the school, the drive is one way.
Turn right just before the pelican crossing.
